Introduction

From February 12, 2020, to June 30, 2020, I completed an internship at the Dutch Ministry of Defence: Army. The objective of this internship was to develop an application that enables the creation of marks or spots in a 3D environment on a computer screen, which could then be "applied" onto a vehicle's surface.

During my internship, I realized that I wouldn't be able to complete this application. As a result, I focused on creating comprehensive documentation for future developers.

Documentation

I have the documentation stored in Google Documents because I find it very effective for creating organized and structured documents.

My goal is to make it as easy as possible for future developers to understand and enhance the application. This way, they can improve and expand upon it.

Within the documentation, I cover my code extensively. Moreover, I strive to provide numerous examples to facilitate better comprehension. I also explain the rationale behind specific decisions I made, sparing others the need to conduct further research.

Note that all documentations are written in dutch.

Creating Stains

This document pertains to the code responsible for generating 2D stains.

Projecting Stains

This document covers the code responsible for projecting stains onto a 3D model.

Ideas for the Application

This document focuses on the ideas I still had for the application. Some of these ideas were not successful, and others I didn't have the chance to work on.

User Guide

This document is intended for the users of the application. It serves to provide a clear written guide on how the application functions. This way, users can refer to the document whenever needed for guidance.
